Calculating Storm Distance (show 1186)

Steve Zucchini sure was scared during the thunder storm in ZucchiniLand. But he learned that, if the proper precautions are taken, he and his brothers would be safe. Here's an interesting fact: During a thunder and lightning storm, you can determine the distance between you and a bolt of lightning by counting the seconds ("one Mississippi, two Mississippi...") between when you see the flash of lightning and you hear the boom of thunder. Divide the number of seconds by five, and the answer will tell you how many miles were between you and the lightning strike. Incidentally, you normally can't hear thunder that is more than 10 miles away from you.
